Georgetown Lake is located 15 miles west of Anaconda on Highway 1 . It is an old meadow that was converted to a reservoir that has become one of Montana's most popular trout fishing lakes. It covers 2768 acres and it's maximum depth is 38 feet. Primary fish species in Georgetown include rainbow trout and eastern brook trout. Kokanee salmon are present as a secondary species.
