Smith Mountain Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Roankoke, Virgina. It has a surface area of 20,600 acres and a maximum depth of 250 feet. It hosts Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, and Black and White Crappie. Other noteable species include Walleye, Muskellunge, Roanoke Bass, Rock Bass, White Bass, White Perch, Yellow Perch, Bluegill, Redbreast Sunfish, Flathead Catfish, Channel Catfish, Brown Bullhead, and Carp.
