Amistad Reservoir Map by AID Lake Maps

This map is printed on one side of a waterproof tear resistant sheet of paper measuring 22"x27". The map has depth contours at 20 foot intervals beginning at the 17 foot depth. There are also shaded depths at 0-17 feet, 17-57 feet, and 57-209 feet. The old Rio Grande River Channel is also detailed on the map. Other map features include navigational lights and buoys, submerged roads, boat ramps, recreation areas, and more.

Amistad Reservoir is located on the Rio Grande River in Val Verde County 12 miles northwest of Del Rio.

Amistad Reservoir has a surface area of 64,900 acres and a maximum depth of 217 feet. It was formed when the dam was built in 1969.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife reports excellent fishing for Largemouth Bass and good fishing for Channel and Blue Catfish and White and Striped Bass. Smallmouth Bass are present in fair numbers.
